I recently installed the IE Stage 1 High Torque ECU tune along with the IE DSG/TCU tune on my 2016 GTI, and the transformation has honestly exceeded my expectations.

I've always preferred OEM+ modifications and wanted something that felt like Volkswagen could have built it this way from the factory rather than a tune that simply chases dyno numbers. That's exactly what I got. The car feels significantly stronger throughout the entire RPM range, but what impressed me most is how refined everything feels. Power delivery is smooth, predictable, and incredibly responsive. The GTI now has the urgency I always felt it deserved.

The DSG tune deserves just as much praise as the ECU tune. Shift quality is dramatically improved, gear selection makes more sense, and the transmission feels far more connected to what I'm asking the car to do. In Drive mode it's still comfortable and civilized, while Sport mode finally feels appropriately sporty. The increased clamping pressure and higher torque limits provide added confidence without sacrificing drivability.

What really stands out is how cohesive the entire package feels. Nothing feels forced or overdone. The car simply feels like a more polished, more capable version of itself.
