Add up to +75 HP with nothing more than a Stage 1 ECU Tune. Optimized for 91 or 93 octane, this recalibration sharpens throttle response, strengthens mid-range torque, and unleashes the performance VW left on the table. No. iE’s adjustable features are coded directly into the ECU. There are no external modules, pedal boxes, or add-on controllers required. All changes are made live through the POWERlink app and apply instantly.

6. Do POWERlink adjustable features require extra hardware?

It is firmer than stock, as intended for a performance application. However, the Progressive Rate design prevents it from being 'crashy.' You get a connected, sporty feel that communicates what the car is doing.

7. Does IE offer an E85 tune for the MK7 Golf R?

Yes. The MK7 Golf R TrueFlex E85 tune is available with iE TrueFlex hardware and HPFP upgrades. The ECU reads ethanol content in real time and automatically adjusts fueling, boost, and ignition. No reflashing required when switching fuels.

Stage 1 ecu tune

Purchased a stage 1 ecu tune roughly 2 months ago. Ive been pleasantly surprised with the added performance, love the pops its addicting also love the fact you that with the mk7 golf r you can set your exhaust valves to stay open huge added bonus.

Amazing tune, love the app and configuration options

This is a much better tune over the Eurodyne tune I had been using for years. So much so that my 2nd pull blew off a loose coupler on my charge pipes. The real-time options available in the app are great, allowing me to customize my driving experience on the fly with a few clicks. The flextune is also nice and I am now burning corn too. It was all a little pricey, but honestly I can accept that based on the extreme quality delivered.
