TECHNICAL INFORMATION

To prevent crankcase oil fumes from condensing and filling your turbo piping, intercooler, and intake manifold, a catch can is a must for your 2.0T FSI engine. A catch can works well to catch all of the oil fumes that are omitted from the valve cover breather, removing the faulty factory oil separator in the process. This not only removes the oil mist found everywhere but will greatly help reduce carbon buildup on the intake valves, a common problem on FSI engines related to power loss and poor drivability. This kit includes all necessary fittings and hoses to plumb the system with the IE billet valve cover. This kit connects to the block breather adapter and valve cover, then is connected to the catch can inlet, which recirculates clean air pressure back to the turbo inlet. With the catch can be recirculated to the turbo inlet, there is no oil mist or mess in the engine bay, as commonly seen with a vent-to-atmosphere style catch can setup.

This kit uses the Integrated Engineering billet recirculating catch can, which features our state-of-the-art baffle system to catch the oil mist and not let it pass back into the turbo inlet. This flawless catch can is fully serviceable and easily disassembled if needed. Draining the catch can is simple with the included T-handle drain valve. No tools are necessary. This beautiful piece has a bright black anodized finish, maintaining a stealthy appearance while looking great in your engine bay.

This recirculating catch can kit has been designed for use with the IE billet valve cover (IE part number: IEBAVC5) as a simple install solution for your billet valve cover and catch can. IE billet valve cover sold separately.

INCLUDED IN KIT

  • Billet recirculating catch can
  • Rear breather adapter
  • Billet boost cap
  • Perfect-fit braided nylon hoses
  • All necessary adapter fittings
  • All necessary mounting hardware

FITMENT NOTES

REQUIRES IE BILLET VALVE COVER
This kit is designed to be used with IE billet valve cover only, which is sold separately. Does not work with the OEM valve cover. This kit includes the adapter fitting to recirculate the OEM turbo. If using a big turbo setup, a -10AN bung will be needed on the turbo inlet to recirculate the catch can.

REQUIRES FACTORY STYLE ENGINE MOUNTS
This IE catch can kit uses a secure mount on the OE engine mount bracket to secure the catch can. Many aftermarket motor mounts delete this mounting location and will require you to custom-mount the catch can itself. If you are running aftermarket motor mounts, please verify if you have the mounting provision before purchasing.

COLD WEATHER CLIMATES

Catch can kits are designed for warm weather climates only. If you live in an area with sub-freezing temperatures in winter months, extra precaution must be taken as condensation in the catch can and lines can freeze and cause pressure to build up in the crankcase. We recommend checking the contents of the catch can frequently or removing the system entirely during cold winter months. Integrated Engineering is not responsible for any damage caused by improper servicing of the catch can.

Catch Can for the Billet Valve cover Mk5 2.0T FSI

The video is not helpful at all in trying to figure out the install of the catch can. I have the Billet valve cover.

All the video shows is how to drain and a VW GTI driving. Not helpful...

I've called twice to find out how to install connection to the turbo and no one can help me and tell me how to install the connection in Figure 3 of your install manual.
