Like many of you out there, I did this at the same time as a turbo elbow and intake system. That makes it hard to say how much of a difference it made as far as sound, but the one thing it does do is clean up the connection, get rid of all the baffles and allow smooth path for the air to exit the turbo. There are plenty of videos out on YouTube where people have tested this by itself if You're interested in that, but for the price you should definitely pick this up when you're doing everything else.

Quality part that fits and sounds great. The turbo sound is much cleaner and more like a normal BOV.

Recently upgraded this part from OEM as a part of a total air intake upgrade. Much happier with this part than others from IE.
