HOW TO TUNE YOUR R / TTS
STEP 1: CHOOSE YOUR TUNE
Stage 1 safely maxes out the factory turbocharger's horsepower & torque capability on entirely stock hardware and is compatible with basic bolt-ons (intake, intercooler). Stage 2 unlocks the most power from the increased flow from an upgraded downpipe. Read below to determine the best stage for your build.
Note: A non-factory downpipe will trigger a Check Engine Light.
STEP 2: ADD YOUR POWERlink
In order to flash your vehicle, you will need an IE POWERlink Direct-port Flash Tool (sold separately) and a Windows 10+ powered laptop. Already own an IE POWERlink cable? Contact us to purchase upgrade credits. There is no fee to upgrade tunes, and you only pay the difference in tune cost.
STEP 3: FLASH YOUR CAR
Follow the link provided with your IE POWERlink Flash Tool to download our Flash Wizard software and follow the on-screen directions to tune your Audi in a matter of minutes!
Note: Mobile phone app flashing support is unavailable for VW MK6 generation 2.0T engines. Tuning these engine ECUs requires a Windows 10 or newer laptop.
WHAT DOES THE 2.0T FSI K04 ECU TUNE DO?
IE's motorsport-inspired software completely retunes the ECU calibration on your 2.0T FSI (EA113) factory K04 turbo engine while retaining factory comfort and reliability. using industry-leading tuning technology and decades of race engine tuning experience, IE engineers completely reverse engineer the factory mapping and customize it to maximize performance for the enthusiast driver for the street and track. Your new software tune can be easily uploaded to your factory-installed ECU (engine control module) without touching a wrench in your own driveway. Multiple tunes are available to match your stock or installed aftermarket hardware.
AVAILABLE TUNE STAGES
STAGE 1
Stage 1 recommended hardware
- IE Cold Air Intake (For highest power output)
- IE Intercooler (For highest performance)
STAGE 2
For customers looking to maximize the stock engine's performance and turbo with full bolt-on hardware, IE Stage 2 software fine-tunes the ECU calibration to match installed aftermarket high-flow downpipes. Stage 2 results deliver massive power gains across the powerband, fully realizing the engine and stock turbocharger potential. Includes 91, 93, and 100 octane switching.

OPTIONAL FEATURES
IE STAGE 2 LIGHT
IE Stage 2 light is for customers who have installed a downpipe required for Stage 2 but have yet to install an IE High-Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP). Installing a performance downpipe while running a stock or Stage 1 ECU tune can result in over-boost conditions, check engine lights, or "Limp Mode". Stage 2 light will increase power levels taking advantage of the downpipe change while keeping safe fuel operating conditions. This will increase power greatly over Stage 1, but not to our full Stage 2 High Torque file. Stage 2 light is included when purchasing a Stage 2 file; once an upgraded HPFP is added, the user may upgrade to IE Stage 2 at no additional cost.
STAGE 2 INTAKE MANIFOLD (IM) PRO
Stage 2 Intake Manifold Tune for your MK6 Golf R or Audi TTS is designed for customers looking to maximize the factory engine's and turbocharger's performance with an IE 2.0T Performance Intake Manifold (Sold Separately). IE Stage 2 Intake Manifold software fine-tunes the ECU calibration to match the manifold plenum and runner flow characteristics and includes special tuning for the removed runner flaps. This file also includes launch control and no-lift shift. Stage 2 IM Pro is an included upgrade with your purchase of a Stage 2 Pro Tune at no extra cost.
EASY INSTALLATION - TUNE FROM HOME
IE's own in-house developed POWERlink cable gives you the control to unlock your engine’s true potential from your own garage or driveway. Enjoy the freedom to quickly reflash your car’s engine control unit (ECU) or transmission control unit (TCU) with IE’s line of performance tunes. The cable simply plugs into your vehicle’s OBD-2 port delivering instant access to choose different IE Tune stages to match installed hardware, take advantage of different fuel octanes, flash to stock, perform engine diagnostics, read/clear codes and gather high-quality operating data via logging.

This ECU calibration is for 2.0T FSI engines with factory-installed K04 turbochargers found in MK6 Golf R and 8J TTS models. It is incompatible with MK5 GTI, Jetta, and other FSI platforms with aftermarket K04 upgrades.
